The experience and the practice proved that the vocation of the vineyard and especially of the Murfatlar center is the obtaining of the natural dry white and red, demy-sweet and sweet wines. The main sorts for obtaining the wines of great brand of Murfatlar type are – the ones for white wines: Pinot gris, Chardonnay, Sauvignon blanc, Muscat Ottonel, Riesling Italian, Columna and for red wines: Pinot noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Feteasca Neagra, and Mamaia Muscat.
THE RESEARCH STATION FOR VITICULTURE AND VINIFICATION MURFATLAR is meant to contribute on new, scientific, bases to the development of viticulture in Dobrudja.
